Question: My 2MP DVR doesn’t record, how to fix the issue?
Let’s examine the hard disk drive (HDD) settings, as this is often the root cause of the issue.
Step-by-Step Troubleshooting:
1. Check HDD Status:

- Go to the DVR Main Menu and select the HDD Menu.
- Verify whether the hard drive appears and if its status is “Recording.”
2. HDD Error Status:

- If the HDD status shows as “Error,” format the HDD:
- Select the hard drive and click “Format.”
- After formatting, the status should change to “Recording.”
- If the HDD status shows as “Error,” format the HDD:
3. HDD Not Detected:

- If the hard drive doesn’t appear in the HDD Menu, contact service@tigersecu.com with the following information:
- Your Order ID.
- Confirm whether you’re using the power supply that came with the DVR system (ensure you’re not sharing the DVR power adapter with the cameras, as this can damage the cameras and void the warranty).

4. Verify Recording Settings:
- If the hard drive appears in the HDD Menu, proceed to the DVR Menu Bar and select the Record icon.
